Going out alone can seem a bit daunting at first, especially if you are not used to doing it. Or if you don't feel like it. Perhaps you have been forced to do it because you live abroad alone, don't have a close circle of friends, or simply because no one wants to go with you to your doctor's appointment or for a random walk around town. No problem, your friends still love you. However, it is perfectly normal to want to share moments with someone at certain times in our lives, even in daily ones.
In my case, it took a long time not only to go out on my own but more importantly to really appreciate it -- and here I offer advice and thoughts on how to deal with the insecurity of loneliness for many - which, however, is nothing more than a new form of companionship: that with oneself.
