Leah has only been at her new office for a few days when she begins to notice something unsettling about one of her coworkers.

Daniel seems completely ordinary whenever anyone else is watching him.

But when Leah is the only person looking, his face changes.

His eyes darken. His smile stretches. And every time someone else turns toward him, he becomes normal again.

At firAt first,st Leah thinks stress and exhaustion are playing tricks on her. Then Daniel begins appearing closer. In corridors. Across empty rooms. Watching her when nobody else is around.

But the real horror begins when Leah discovers that Daniel may not be the one changing after all.

Nathan is sitting at his desk, staring through another painfully ordinary afternoon, when he notices a tiny point of light glowing in the wall beside him.

I checked into the ageing Briarwood Hotel to investigate an urban legend: a missing room the staff swore was never built. 

The rooms go from 5 straight to 7. There’s no Room 6. At least, that’s what they want you to believe.

But at night, I heard muffled voices through the wall where Room 6 should have been — whispers, crying, laughter. When I tried to find out the truth, I discovered something the hotel has spent decades trying to erase.  

Some doors shouldn’t be opened.
