Once the bulk of television programming, variety shows are unfortunately a rarity nowadays.  From Ed Sullivan to the Brady Bunch Variety Hour, the mid 20th century was the heyday of the variety format.  Join me as I look back on this once popular television format.  (Does anyone else besides me remember Pink Lady & Jeff???)
