George and his wife Bessie went to the fair every year. It was the closest they ever had to a vacation.And each year George would say to Bessie, I sure would like to ride in the acrobatic airplane. And Bessie would say, I know George, but that airplane ride costs $10. And $10 is $10. After many years, they went to the fair as usual, and George said, Bessie, I'm 81 years old. If I don't ride that airplane this year, I may never get another chance. Bessie replied, George, the airplane ride costs $10 . And $10 is $10.The pilot overheard and said, I've seen you every year. I know you've been wanting to ride in my airplane, And money is important to you. I'll take you up for a ride. If you can keep quiet the entire ride, I won't charge. But if you say one word, it'll cost you $10 They agreed. The plane and took off. The pilot did twists, turns, and dives, he didn't hear a peep from them. He tried his fastest upside roll, and still quiet.
When landing, the pilot looked at George: Well, I don't believe it , I did everything I could think of to get you to yell, but you didn't. George replied, Well, I was going to say something when Bessie fell out of the airplane. But, $10 is $10.
