Chamberlain and Chance episodes

  • Round 1 Fight!

Chance loved Gravity Rush 2. Chamberlain hated every moment of it. Alex plays mediator as two grown men argue over the merits of combat lock on and the potential joy of flying around a city as a girl in odd tights. And someone could not stay away from Overwatch any longer.

  • The end?!

An episode full of suprises! Alex insists that Mass Effect Andromeda is not terrible, Chance played something other than Horizon and Chamberlain, for a moment, has a softer side. The weekly Overwatch update is not forgotten and the three discuss their favorite games endings of all time.

  • Schadenfreude?

Early 2017 has seen an embarrassment of quality games released and what do our heroes play? More Horizon, Zelda and Civilization with a dash of Hollow Knight for good measure. Chance wants to live in Alloy's world and hunt robot dinosaurs. Alex gets his PS4 fixed (finally) and Chamberlain is stuck between his begrudging enjoyment of Breath of the Wild and the deep catharsis of Nintendo fans' tears.

  • We get what we deserve

Chamberlain has his Switch and is playing a Zelda game for the first time in fifteen years! It's okay. Chance is still playing Horizon Zero Dawn. It's awesome. Alex is back, which is good all by itself, and he is playing Night in the Woods, which he promises has writing that will blow your mind. There may be karma involved with each of their experiences.

  • Work and Play

Chance got to enjoy a good game between podcasts: Horizon Zero Dawn. His excitement is, as always, contagious. Chamberlain opted to not have fun, instead forcing his way through the second half of Final Fantasy XV. Spoiler: he did not like it and doesn't think anyone else should play it. Games are not supposed to feel like work, right?

  • We always hurt the ones we love

Alex rejoins Chamberlain and Chance only to have Chamberlain wound him deeply by saying mean things about Stranger Things. Chamberlain pays for it in the end by playing Final Fantasy XV and Chance continues to cheat on Overwatch by finishing Gravity Rush 2 and starting Night in the Woods. Mercy will not stand for this and refuses to heal Chance untli he reads all Overwatch news he can find and buys two nendoroids.

  • Respites

Chance may be taking a break from playing Overwatch but that does mean he is done talking about Overwatch. Nioh was played in its stead, along with a return to an old friend: Dragon's Crown. Chamberlain actually enjoyed something, Resident Evil VII, but then suffers from Capcom overdose while playing through Dead Rising 4, then has the nerve to complain about having too much to play before the Switch comes out.

  • Wide ranging subjects

Alex rejoins Chamberlain and Chance this week and does his best to keep things on topic, namely, to talk about videogames. It almost works. Topics this week include the tragedy of Mafia III, the genius of Dead Space 2, Overwatch buffs and nerfs, sex bots, unfunny comedians, funny comedians and just a touch of depressing politics.

  • Another day in the life

Chamberain and Chance do the best they can this week. No Alex means no one to keep them in check. Anime is freely discussed along side tea bagging's place in competative gaming. There is news, there is a mediocre open world game in Mafia III and there is, of course, more Overwatch.

  • Never good enough

Chamberlain was in a mood this morning and managed to convince Chance and Alex to complain about videogames. This may or may not provide a window into his neuroses. Chance plays and enjoys something that is not Overwatch or Darkest Dungeon and Alex continues his grand tour of classic PS2 RPGs.
