Champion The Gamer

It's MOI.

Apologies for those who find me aggrivating, but it's just me ;)

I take time to answer some listener gaming questions in the first edition of Marv's Mailbag.

Got any questions, pop them in the comments and I'll add them to the next mailbag ep.

MrMark88, what an incredibly deep and reflective person, IN THE BEST WAY.

We get into the risk vs reward of content creation and have the hard chat on the best ways to grow, including all the pitfalls and issues that it can bring if you don't maintain a balance. We discuss why it shouldn't be taboo to talk about and aim for monetizing your page and making something from your content, and we tackle how content creation can help you overcome our insecurities.

He decides to hit me in the heart with an almost killer blow with his Hot Take on the Gamecube, and we discuss the potential negatives of the upcoming Switch 2.

We also chat about the types of games that excite him and how his gaming choices have changed as he's got older.

And I get a huge ego boost as he guesstimates me to be 10 years younger than I am.

Such a wonderfully deep, rich, refreshing and reflective podcast. MrMark88 is definitely going places.

The man, the myth, the legend himself, Chesterfield Gamer joins me for a deep dive into content creation and all things gaming.

A man with a powerful voice within the gaming community, Chesterfield is a beacon of all that's good with gaming on tiktok. He advocates for mental health and promoting a positive mind set, and it's a great chance to discuss with him how he uses games in his journey.

He speaks about how he accommodates gaming into his (very) busy schedule and what it takes to maintain a balance in every day life.

We discuss his hot takes and delve into why I am correct about Metal Gear Solid.

I try and expand his mind when it comes to the stealth genre and we get into what makes content creation the not-so-scary place that some believe it to be.

A personal bucket list item for me to have him on, RetroSega81 is a true gem and true leader on tiktok.

We dive in to his journey to 100k and his views on what it takes. We get into his views on the tiktok shop and why it's important to embrace it. We throw out our thoughts on how content evolves and he gives a rare insight into what making regular content entails.

We are blessed to chat 80s movies, why the 80's is the best decade full stop, and how gaming can learn from the past.

He raises great points in a Game Gear vs Gameboy debate, and we stump him in Coaches Questions.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE PRIVILEGE to talk to one of the best creators out there and an all-around beaut of a human.

Embarking of a journey of gaming discovery, CodenameRed is using his platorm to explore all the games he is yet to tackle.

A self-proclaimed FPS player in his younger days, he didn't have much time for console gaming or gaming as a whole, so now we get to see him take on a ton of our favourite titles for the very first time. (Here's hoping he can do Kingdom Hearts and report back for me!)

I had a blast chatting with him about his content, what makes him tick and he how uses content to learn and grow... something I strive for too.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Harry's Amazing Consoles (if by some miracle you don't know him already).

As entertaining as they come, Harry boasts an unbelievable console and games collection and shares it in his WONDERFUL series (of the same name) on TikTok. On episode 95 as of this podcast, he shares things unknown to many a person and gives you the info you need.

We get into his love for older gaming, his parties with his friends and their CRTV fun. We discuss the issues in modern games and Harry showcases his best impersonation skills (I WAS CRYING).

Such an AMAZING creator with an incredibly rare insight into retro games, Harry is a must watch and must listen.
