Between April 12 and April 18, 2025, Chandler Police responded to a range of incidents across the city. On April 12, officers were called to the downtown Chandler area near Arizona Avenue and Boston Street for an alleged burglary involving forced entry into a commercial business, which remains under investigation. Late that evening in the Ocotillo neighborhood, a vehicle theft was reported in a shopping center parking lot; the vehicle was later recovered, and the case is ongoing. April 13 saw a reported assault near Alma School Road and Chandler Boulevard, where the victim declined medical treatment and the suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
On April 14, a residential area near Ray Road and Cooper Road experienced an alleged criminal damage incident where several vehicles were vandalized overnight; this case is under investigation. Officers are actively seeking public assistance in identifying a potential suspect, described as a male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing dark clothing and last seen fleeing eastbound. Later that day, patrol responded to a reported shoplifting incident at a retail center near Dobson Road and Warner Road; two adult suspects were detained and cited. April 15 involved an alleged drug/narcotic violation during a traffic stop near Chandler Heights Road and McQueen Road, resulting in one arrest and the seizure of illegal substances and paraphernalia. The same day in the Sun Groves neighborhood, a fraud case involving unauthorized use of a credit card was reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
On April 16, police responded to a disturbance involving alleged disorderly conduct at a park near Pecos Road and Arizona Avenue; the parties were separated, and no arrests were made. In a separate incident that evening, officers investigated a reported theft from vehicle near Kyrene Road and Chandler Boulevard; there are no suspects at this time, and the case remains open.
April 17 saw a reported residential burglary in an apartment complex near Price Road and Queen Creek Road; entry was allegedly gained through an unlocked window, and electronics were taken. The case is under investigation. Multiple reports of criminal damage to public property, including graffiti, were also logged in the downtown area.
On April 18, officers conducted a warrant arrest in the Vicinity of Warner Road and Alma School Road. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. In a separate call, police were dispatched to a report of an alleged assault at a local bar near Chandler Boulevard and Arizona Avenue, where the victim was treated for minor injuries and charges are pending.
Recent reports indicate a continued pattern of property-related crimes, including burglaries, vehicle thefts, and vandalism, with several cases still under investigation.
