In the past, Japan had many salarymen who were called “corporate warriors” or “economic animals”. They are willing to work long hours and sacrifice their lives. As a result of the various problems caused by long working hours, there has been a movement to correct this way of working in Japanese society as a whole. Nevertheless, they are still companies in Japan where long working hours and unpaid overtime are still the norm. In this episode, I consider the causes of this problem.
