Change IS Painful. Here’s how to do it anyway

Change is painful. And I want to teach you how you can do it anyway.
Under normal circumstances, we would never CHOOSE to put ourselves through pain. Unfortunately, we need to make an exception for CHANGE.
The basis of change….
Is that want something that we don’t currently have. Whether its a different body shape; bigger bank account; more passion in our relationship or greater success in business, it’s different to what we have now.
To get what we have now, we had certain thought processes, strategies and behaviours. We are used to them. They are safe. And comfortable. Even if you don’t particularly like being where you are.
Just thinking about…
Changing those habitual thoughts and actions is enough to create a cascade of questioning and fearful thoughts. They will have a corresponding physical and physiological response in the body. Brains are hard wired to prioritise safety, so invariably this unconscious response is screaming “NOT SAFE, NOT SAFE”.
To appease these feelings, all we have to say is, “OK, I’ll stay exactly where I am”. Phew. That’s OK if you don’t ever want more in your life. But what if you do? Because we all want more don’t we?
