In today’s conversation, we’re going to jump head first into the deep end as we wade through the story of Job. We’re going to discuss the perplexing and often-overlooked truth that our story is interwoven into a much bigger one—a heavenly one, which we can’t fully understand any more than we can fully see. We’re going to confront the tension we often feel when we try to reconcile what we believe about God’s sovereignty and character with what we observe and endure in regard to suffering. And we’re going to talk about what we should and should not do (and say!) in response to the suffering of others. So, pull up a chair at our table, and let’s dive into the conversation.

We’ll explore the heart of God in this story, and we’ll discover the first unconditional covenant made between God and man—a covenant signified by the breathtaking visual promise of the rainbow.
