Across town, Manny meets Frank, admits he gave Raymond a head start bound by pledge—answers now, judgment later. Fear of the Gentry lingers in every pause, and the Freehold’s grief hardens into choices: cover it, try him, or hunt.
About the Chronicle
Changeling: The Lost — Vanity is a Chronicles of Darkness story set in 1993 South Florida. It follows Katrina, Raymond, Isabel, and Frank as they navigate memory, mask, and meaning after impossible experiences. Themes include the cost of survival, the seduction (and danger) of glamour, and the collision of faith, desire, and control in a world that’s equal parts neon and nightmare.
