Confidence has so many different meanings in many different contexts. However, when we look at the younger self and the environments where we grew up, our confidence was something that was developed from trials, and a repetitive idea of the self. This episode's guest is someone who I met from my times in a private school which shaped both of our upbringings and perceptions of the self. Tune in to learn about the limitations that came with being immersed in a very unique culture, where our confidence was overlooked and therefore diminished. How did we use self-reflection to unlearn harmful perceptions of our identities which gravely affected out self-esteem and made us shy away from opportunities of simply being seen. This episode is not one to miss. Nonye is a well spoken advocate on culture and inclusion. She provides insight on overcoming limited confidence and emphasizes the importance of making a difference. Let’s revisit this era!
