Hello! I am back just in time for the 129th Anniversary of the Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Join me as I talk a bit about the event as it happened, what followed, and then ramble on to talk about different things I've noticed in regards to this day. It has been a while, so this episode is definitely a bit rambly, but nonetheless, I wanted to get this out there, because January 17th is an important day in Hawaiian History. Hope you enjoy it!

Today we complete our political timeline starting with the first elected monarch of Hawaiʻi, William Charles Lunalilo all the way to Hawaiʻi's Statehood. Then we finish off by just talking story about how this information may contradict a lot of what is taught in American School Systems about Hawaiʻi if taught anything at all. Let's dive in together, shall we?

Aloha! Today let's talk about the Kamehameha Dynasty as we create the first part of our political timeline together. Learn with me about Hawaiian politics, the implementation of foreign policy techniques into native government, and much more! Also, let's start to explore some of the things in which may have been different from what have been the common narratives and beliefs about certain laws and aliʻi (chiefs) in Hawaiʻi's history.

There are a lot of statistics and numbers going around, but we talk about all of this so as to establish a baseline of information so that in the future we can compare Hawaiʻi's past to Hawaiʻi's present.
