Series: Audacious Prayer

Jesus talks a lot about prayer. Most of what he teaches is not about what to pray, but rather, about how to pray. And his first lesson is to pray boldly and persistently. Mostly, when we think about praying boldly, we think about our own lives (my health, my relationships, my job etc). In today’s lesson from Paul’s bold prayer for the Colossians, we see that one of the most important bold and audacious prayers we can pray is “use me”.

Questions to reflect on and discuss from this message:

1. On a scale from 1 (a little) to 10 (lots) how courageous are you at asking a stranger for help?

2. What breaks your heart? (and if there’s nothing that comes to mind, then what could you do to find that thing that would break your heart?)

3. Be bold and share what dream God could do in the world in answer to your bold prayers?
