Channel 9 was the first famous cricket broadcast. It changed how we saw the game, was so popular that it spun off a comedy empire and many of us grew up with these sounds as our backdrop. And then it became “All about the matiest mates who ever mated.” So, we got the man who wrote that line, Geoff Lemon, to come talk about Channel 9’s cricket coverage, and why he wrote about it.
