Power does not need to be destroyed, and vulnerability does not need to be protected forever. Both need room to move toward balance.
Will says, I can move.
Nurturance says, I can receive.
Too much will becomes domination, force, or constant struggle.
Too much containment becomes submission, dependence, or fear of expression.
The deeper practice is recognizing which direction you habitually move when you feel unsafe, then allowing yourself to move toward the opposite quality without believing you are losing yourself.
And perhaps the most interesting idea from the entire conversation is this:
What feels like a threat to your identity may actually be the doorway into balance.
