About the Episode
On the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms this week, I chat to Elan Page about diversity in homeschooling. Elan is a podcaster, coach, and founder of Homeschool Our Way.
She is passionate about supporting families of color as they start their homeschool journey because of the invaluable opportunities it's afforded her own family: the ability to give her two daughters one-on-one instruction, the ability to nurture their children’s individual strengths and passions, and the ability to adapt both of their girls’ education to their unique learning styles.
Elan believes strongly that every family should have the knowledge and resources they need to start homeschooling with confidence and clarity, and Homeschool Our Way exists to do just that.
Elan and her husband live in Dallas, Texas with their elementary-aged daughters.
Elan has such a positive outlook on homeschooling and it's a joy to hear about her experiences. It's also so valuable to hear her sage advice about balancing work and homeschooling and making sure children feel seen and represented in their homeschooling journey.

I recently came across the concept of Time Confetti. It was mentioned to me by Luba from The Hub as we were talking about managing homeschooling and work at the same time.
You know how much I talk about time management, so you can imagine how intrigued I was! What is time confetti and what effect does it have on us as working homeschool moms?
On the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Mom this week, I chat about what time confetti is, what negative effects it has on you as a working homeschool mom, and ways for you to overcome this fractured, scattered way to spend your time.

About the Episode
Money is such a huge part of helping you live life on your own terms, working homeschool mom. That's why today's episode of The Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms is so important!
I chat to Allegra Moet Brantly, who is on a mission to lead 1 million women to $1 million in net worth. After starting her career in beauty and fashion in New York, she learned firsthand just how much money women leave on the table when they don't speak up for their worth in the workplace.
This led her to becoming a salary negotiation coach to help close the gender pay gap, and ultimately founding Factora in 2018, to help close the even more detrimental— gender investment gap—that can cost women to lose out on a million dollars over their lifetime. Factora educates and empowers women to build wealth and achieve early financial freedom.
A serial entrepreneur, real estate investor, and host of the podcast where women talk wealth, Coffee & Coin, Allegra lives in East Austin with her devoted husband, sweet baby girl, and horse-sized dog.

About the Episode
On the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms this week, I tackle homeschooling math. It can be an overwhelming subject, so I'm incredibly honoured to chat to a math expert Pat Murray, the creator of our favourite math curriculum, CTCMath.
Pat's life is an inspiring tapestry of family values, entrepreneurial success, and educational innovation. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Pat's journey began in the late 1980s as a high-school math teacher. His passion for education and unique perspective on learning led him to create award-winning math teaching programs that would eventually shape the face of online education in mathematics.
Pat's approach to education is imbued with a deep sense of empathy and understanding of individual learning needs. He has transformed the abstract world of mathematics into an engaging and comprehensible subject for students of all ages.
In a world where education is becoming increasingly digitized, Pat Murray's innovative thinking has left an indelible mark on how mathematics is taught and learned. His journey from a humble math teacher to a globally recognized educational entrepreneur is not merely a tale of success but an embodiment of the belief that with passion, creativity, and dedication, one can truly make a difference in the lives of others.

About the Episode
On the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms this week, I'm discussing something that many new or newish working homeschool moms struggle with - how to do it right.
I'm someone who likes to get things right in whatever I do so I totally get this need. I don't know if you can relate, but I often also find it so frustrating, exhausting and often impossible to achieve!
But before we dive into the topic today, I want to say one thing. What's right is so different for every single working homeschool mom. There are so many elements involved that it's impossible to have a cookie-cutter answer.
That being said, let's reframe this a bit. If there's no one right, then that means you can make it whatever you want it to be. You can decide what your working homeschool mom life is going to look at. Pretty cool, right?!
In the episode I discuss why you might be doubting yourself. And ways to gain confidence as a working homeschool mom.

The go-to podcast for Christian homeschool moms who want to achieve work-life balance and homeschool effectively.
Are you trying to balance your calling to…
Do you feel like no matter how early you wake up, there’s never enough time for school, work, and the house?
Are you praying for peace and wisdom as you raise kids who love learning and love Jesus?
This podcast will help you organize your homeschool, manage your time wisely, and balance work, home, and faith — without waking up at 5 a.m. or color-coded schedules.
Hi, I’m Elisa — and this is my 6th year homeschooling. Back in 2019, my world flipped upside down when my son was kicked out of school after the vaccine religious exemption repeal in New York. I thought homeschooling would be temporary, but as a single mom running a business, I was terrified I couldn’t keep up. How was I supposed to teach him everything his growing brain needed while also putting food on the table?
In fact, I doubted myself so much that I packed up our lives and moved 650 miles away just so he could attend public school again. But God had other plans. When we returned to homeschooling — this time with no family nearby and no built-in support system — I wrestled daily with the same fears you probably do...
Can I balance work and homeschooling?
Am I doing enough?
Will my kids fall behind?
What I discovered is that homeschooling is not school at home. Once I let go of unrealistic expectations, leaned on God’s strength instead of my own, and started building systems and routines, things shifted. We had more freedom - now my son and I do life together, and he’s learned to think critically, explore his interests, and grow in his faith. And I finally found the margin to run my business and disciple my child without constant burnout.
Now, I help other Christian work-at-home moms do the same — by trusting God with the outcome, simplifying homeschool, and creating time management strategies that bring peace to your days and keep your focus on what truly matters.
If you’re ready to simplify your homeschool, manage your time with confidence, and create a faith-filled home that actually feels peaceful, then grab your coffee, take a deep breath, and let’s get started.
