About the Episode
Self-care for working homeschool moms is vital because we all know that we need to replenish our energy regularly. We need time to rest and regroup so that we can keep all the balls in the air. But then why do we constantly put ourselves last?!
To be honest, I’m not sure there’s an easy answer to this questions. Maybe we feel overwhelmed. Or maybe we don’t feel deserving. But one thing that I do know, is that we have to prioritize self-care. Because a frustrated and frazzled working homeschool mom, is not able to keep all the plates spinning.
On The Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms this week, I share some ways to incorporate self-care in an easy and realistic way. With practice and patience, you’ll be able to have as much time as you need. And your working homeschool mom life will be more harmonious for it!

On the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms this week, I talk to Mina Seid from Raising Seidlings. Homeschooling for 8 years, painting professionally for 12 years, and developing and growing all the way, Mina is passionate about art and how it can connect all subjects. She provides in person and virtual art classes for her community.
She loves homeschooling and decided to start chronicling her journey with it on Instagram in 2018. In 2020 she started a blog realizing that she is connecting to and creating a community simply by having a presence online.
It was wonderful to chat to Mina about the roles of mothers in society, about homeschool socialization, about the beauty and use of art in education and our lives and lots lots more! It's a very encouraging episode and at the end, you'll realize how amazing you are, homeschool mom!

The go-to podcast for Christian homeschool moms who want to achieve work-life balance and homeschool effectively.
Are you trying to balance your calling to…
Do you feel like no matter how early you wake up, there’s never enough time for school, work, and the house?
Are you praying for peace and wisdom as you raise kids who love learning and love Jesus?
This podcast will help you organize your homeschool, manage your time wisely, and balance work, home, and faith — without waking up at 5 a.m. or color-coded schedules.
Hi, I’m Elisa — and this is my 6th year homeschooling. Back in 2019, my world flipped upside down when my son was kicked out of school after the vaccine religious exemption repeal in New York. I thought homeschooling would be temporary, but as a single mom running a business, I was terrified I couldn’t keep up. How was I supposed to teach him everything his growing brain needed while also putting food on the table?
In fact, I doubted myself so much that I packed up our lives and moved 650 miles away just so he could attend public school again. But God had other plans. When we returned to homeschooling — this time with no family nearby and no built-in support system — I wrestled daily with the same fears you probably do...
Can I balance work and homeschooling?
Am I doing enough?
Will my kids fall behind?
What I discovered is that homeschooling is not school at home. Once I let go of unrealistic expectations, leaned on God’s strength instead of my own, and started building systems and routines, things shifted. We had more freedom - now my son and I do life together, and he’s learned to think critically, explore his interests, and grow in his faith. And I finally found the margin to run my business and disciple my child without constant burnout.
Now, I help other Christian work-at-home moms do the same — by trusting God with the outcome, simplifying homeschool, and creating time management strategies that bring peace to your days and keep your focus on what truly matters.
If you’re ready to simplify your homeschool, manage your time with confidence, and create a faith-filled home that actually feels peaceful, then grab your coffee, take a deep breath, and let’s get started.
