    Was ist eigentlich das Alarm Phone? Wie geht es Frauen und Mädchen beim Überqueren der Grenzen? Warum konzentrieren wir uns auf die Seenotrettung und nicht darauf, die Grenzen zu öffnen und die Überfahrt übers Mittelmeer unnötig zu machen? Und warum kennen wir immer nur die weißen, europäischen Seenotretter*innen? Drei Aktivist*innen stellen diese Fragen aus einer nicht-europäischen Perspektive.

Her perspective shows the hypocracy of EU agreements and visa processes, which create the necessity for sea rescue in the first place. Jihed is a Tunisian sea rescuer living in Italy. He critically reflects on the pitfalls of white saviorism and criminalisation.

Die beiden Referenten legen die illegalen und dokumentierten Missionen (neben den Abschiebe- und Rückführungsmaßnahmen aus der EU) von Frontex offen – ob die Luftaufklärung an der senegalesischen Küste oder die Einrichtung eines geheimdienstähnlichen Netzwerks zur Migrationskontrolle und weiteren Verbrechen - Mit ihrem Input appellieren die Beiden an unser aktivistisches Herz, uns spätestens nach dem Talk aktiv für die Abschaffung der sog. Agentur einzusetzen!
    What is Frontex doing in North and West Africa?
    The two speakers disclose the illegal and documented missions (in addition to the deportation and repatriation measures from the EU) of Frontex - whether the aerial reconnaissance on the Senegalese coast or the establishment of an intelligence-like network for migration control and other crimes - the two appeal with their input to our activist hearts to actively engage us in the campaign for the abolition of the so-called agency, after the talk at the latest!

    Der Tod. DAS Tabuthema schlechthin. Trotzdem: wir alle werden sterben. Gerade jetzt, in Zeiten von Pandemie, Krieg und Flucht ist dieses Thema präsenter denn je. Doch die Distanz zu Tod und Trauer ist groß. Darum lasst uns gemeinsam in einer achtsamen und tabufreien Atmosphäre über den Umgang mit dem Unausweichlichen sinnieren. Die Workshopleiterin klärt dabei rund um das Thema Sterben und Bestatten auf.

  • Regenwald & Pandemie - Forest is shouting loud: Virus is hopping out! (fusion22)
    In der Diskussion um Ursprung und Umgang mit dem Corona-Virus wird über alles mögliche gesprochen, nur die wirkliche Ursache wird meist unterschlagen: die Zerstörung der Regenwälder und das Verhältnis Wildtier-Mensch. Je mehr Regenwald wir zerstören, umso eher kommt es zu einer Übertragung von Zoonosen auf die Menschen und andere Tiere.
    Ibu Marianne von Rettet den Regenwald nimmt uns mit auf eine Reise durch Wälder und globale Zusammenhänge - und gibt uns trotz allem Realismus auch Hoffnung.
    When we talk about origin and handling of corona-virus we often forget the real reason: the worldwide destruction of the rainforests and the relation of humans and wild animals. The more rainforest we destroy, the more likely are zoonotic deseases of human and other animals. Ibu Marianne invites us to a journey through forests and global interrelations – and despite all realism she still gives hope.

  • BGP/OSPF with 100Mpps on amd64: VPP + Linux Control Plane (vNOG)
    In this talk, Pim will demonstrate high performance routing using open-source VPP and its underlying Data Plane Development Kit. This talk highlights the authors work on integrating the Linux Control Plane which makes BGP, OSPF, etc available with VPP. We’ll then turn to a popular DPDK based network load testing tool TRex, and discuss performance benchmarking results from the field using the author’s AS8298 as a practical example.
    About the speakers
    Pim van Pelt is known for SixXS, a global IPv6 tunnelbroker which ran from 2001-2017. In this journey, he found that IPv4/IPv6 routing at scale (many interfaces, many prefixes or many packets/sec) was better handled in user space rather than the kernel (both for FreeBSD and Linux). Today, Pim operates IPng Networks, a small ISP in Switzerland, using AMD64 based routers running VPP, which will give silicon-based routers a run for their money.
