Do you know where your food is coming from? Who grew your cucumber, how much space did the chickens have? How can we support rural areas? Make changes so it is possible to live and work on the countryside while also ensuring food security and a sustainable reboot for agriculture? Challenging the big food factories and supporting biodiversity? The skandinvian grass root movement reko has some answers and hopes to inspire. A short story of how to spark change to a small rural community.

The idea came from Finland where the first Reko groups have existed since 2013. Reko means rejäl konsumption which translates to real consumption.

The idea is to bring together producers and consumers for food and raw products. Directly without hands in the middle. Locally produced, bought by the people that will eat it. Meeting each other for the exchange of products.

Reko supports values like local food production, combined with trust, a passion for exciting ingredients and a love for small scale production. The groups are open for everyone.

Through direct contact between consumers and producers a reliability is built. Consumers can ask detailed questions about the ways their food is produced. They get a different level of appreciation really knowing where it is coming from.It makes them able to buy products that are not available in stores and getting products as fresh as possible. Small scale producers can play along with their strengths like educating about their product.

Legacy-IP Adressen werden rar und teuer, gerade für Low Budget Netze. IPv4+ scheint auch eher keine große Verbreitung zu finden.

Gleichzeitig wird IPv6 only mit nur wenigen Schnittstellen zur Legacy IP-Welt immer interessanter, auch und besonders für Hobby-Infrastrukturen.

In diesem Talk stelle ich mein IPv6-focused "research network" vor, und zeige euch, wie auch ihr Legacy IP schrittweise abschaffen könnt!

The medical world is improving at rapid speed - say the magic words “personalized medicine”. This talk will provide some background on the use of DNA sequencing/other kinds of sequencing/other molecules used as markers for a potential disease. There are a multitude of gene-based diagnostic tests on the market and this is only the beginning. The prospect of whole-genome sequencing for everyone is on the horizon, but what are the implications? We touch upon ethical issues regarding risk and prognosis of disease (who needs to know?) or storage and use of your personal health records and sequencing data.

As part of a company providing support to bring gene-signature based diagnostics to the market, I have full exposure to the scientific discovery, validation process and influence of multiple stakeholders in the diagnostic field. Not only are some diseases hard to diagnose without checking on a molecular level, we can also give a better prognosis or choose the right treatment for your type of condition. And who would not want to know whether they inherited some “difficult genes” from their parents? What else do your molecules tell about you and what could anyone else possibly do with that information? I’d like to bring some awareness to the audience about the potential of sequencing-based technology in health and disease and the issues it might bring along, which are of bigger concern and much closer to reality than “choosing the ideal genes for your baby”. NB: I am here as a critical individual and (computational) biologist, not as an employee.

In this joint talk, four internet freedom advocates will expose and criticize current plans for general mass collection of everyone's communication data. 2022 will bring threats to Internet freedoms but also opportunities for civil society to act.

We need to get back to basics: Let's set the default to zero mass surveillance.

## Data retention plans in the EU and its Member States

By the End of 2021 new documents appeared in public that show how the Commission of the European Union together with various EU member states push for new general data retention obligations [1].

From an digital fundamental rights perspective this is not acceptable. Because sensitive communication and activity data from millions of law-abiding citizens would be retained for no specific purpose. Democratic societies and liberal constitutional states must not enforce blanket mass surveillance.

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has repeatedly emphasized this and declared general data retention to be lawful only in limited exceptions. The default must be: no general data retention.

Nevertheless, from documents and the political debate the impression arises, that the Commission of the European Union and some governments of the Member States are trying to run over the rulings of the ECJ and fundamental rights.

Gesichtserkennung, Proteine, Go, tanzende Roboter. Künstliche Intelligenz hangelt sich von Höhepunkt zu Höhepunkt. Im Narrativ der Fortschrittsgläubigen und Hurra-Optimistischen hat die mathematische Beschreibung der Welt nur eine Richtung: nach vorne, aber mit Gewalt.

Gewalt hingegen ist es, was durch diese Beschreibungen ausgeführt, in ihnen festgeschrieben und unter dem Deckmantel der vermeintlichen Neutralität legitimiert wird. Jenseits von lustig werden die Roboter von Boston Dynamics mittlerweile stolz als Waffensysteme präsentiert, lehnen Algorithmen scheinbar willkürlich Kreditanträge ab und helfen Verdächtige in den Knast zu bringen. Ob die was getan haben, nebensächlich.

Was also ist ist ein Algorithmus wert, der die Herrschaft beschreibt? Was eine Intelligenz, die nur das Gestern reproduzieren kann? Und was eine Gesellschaft, die das Gestern zum Morgen machen möchte?

Willst du oder musst du Auto fahren?

Diese Frage habe ich über 40 Personen gestellen - und über ihre Antworten ein Buch geschrieben. #Autokorrektur hat dabei nichts mit "Autohass" zu tun - obwohl mir das immer wieder unterstellt wird - sondern mit der Frage, wie Automobilität zur Voraussetzung zur Teilhabe werden konnte - und wie wir das zugunsten aller ändern können.

Hallo! Mein Name ist Katja und ich wende den Verkehr. Das ist hochpolitisch, weil ich nicht nur auf Technik schaue, sondern mich für eine Mobilität einsetze, die die Bedürfnisse aller Menschen berücksichtigt – Menschen mit Behinderung, Kinder, Menschen auf dem Land und in der Stadt, Frauen, Männer, nicht-binäre Menschen, BIPoC."

In meiner Vorstellung der Zukunft können die Menschen Auto fahren, so sie es denn wollen. Sie müssen es aber nicht mehr – denn es gibt attraktive Alternativen. Ich möchte Lust machen auf eine Gesellschaft, die gemeinsam eine attraktive und klimafreundliche Zukunft für alle baut. Ab heute.

Momentan ist nicht alles in unserem Land fair und klimagerecht, inklusiv und bezahlbar aufgestellt. Die Bedürfnisse vieler Menschen werden nicht angemessen berücksichtigt. Das können wir ändern!

Ich werde einen kurzen Input geben, wie ich den aktuellen Status Quo so sehe - und dann gern mit euch in die Diskussion einsteigen, wie wir endlich die Verkehrswende starten.
