Jesus is our Sabbath: Are you finding true rest in Jesus? | Luke Bilberry
“The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:27-28) This Sunday as we dive into Mark 2:23-3:6, discovering how Jesus redefines the Sabbath—not as a burden, but as a gift of grace. Often we get tied up focusing on the wrong part of rest, like the Pharisees who created additional disciplines to help keep themselves inline with the Law rather than walking in spiritual disciplines with Jesus because that is where true rest and freedom is.

Jesus didn’t come to modify our current lives—He came to make us new! In this sermon, Pastor Joel unpacks Mark 2:18-22 where we learn about biblical fasting, the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant, and how Jesus did not come to modify old religious traditions but to usher in something entirely new. What does it look like to fully surrender so Jesus can make you new?
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

In this sermon, Pastor Joel Wayne unpacks Jesus calling Levi to follow Him. Levi left everything—his wealth, security, and comfort—to follow Jesus. Pastor Joel shows us that we are called to do the same. Jesus came not for the righteous, but for sinners—offering forgiveness to all who recognize their need for Him. What do you need to leave in order to fully follow Jesus?
Every human need—emotional, financial, relational, and physical—ultimately points to our deeper spiritual need for Jesus. In this message, Pastor Michael Rubino, Lead Pastor at Cornerstone Bible Church in New York, unpacks the healing of a paralytic in Mark 2:1-12. We discover that the four men did whatever it took to bring their paralyzed friend to Jesus for healing. Who do you need to bring to Jesus?
Temporary Healing or Eternal Cleansing: Will you allow Jesus to cleanse you? | Joel Wayne
Do you need a spiritual cleansing? In this sermon, Pastor Joel unpacks Mark 1:35-45 and shows us through the story of the leper that a physical healing is temporary, but a spiritual cleansing is for eternity. We also learn that Jesus spent intentional time in prayer, showing the source of His strength was His relationship with God. Are you depending on God through prayer? Will you allow Jesus to cleanse you from your sin?

In this sermon, Pastor Joel highlights the authority of Jesus, who calls people to repentance and belief in Him as Savior. Jesus chose ordinary fishermen to follow Him and they immediately left everything to respond to His call. Jesus' bold teaching amazed crowds, and His power over demonic forces and disease demonstrated His divine authority. Pastor Joel challenges us to consider: Who holds ultimate authority in your life? Will you leave your “nets” to pursue God’s call?
