So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:27-28) This Sunday as we dive into Mark 2:23-3:6, discovering how Jesus redefines the Sabbath—not as a burden, but as a gift of grace. Often we get tied up focusing on the wrong part of rest, like the Pharisees who created additional disciplines to help keep themselves inline with the Law rather than walking in spiritual disciplines with Jesus because that is where true rest and freedom is.
