Mayor Baldwin has led the City of Raleigh since 2019. She is a Rhode Island native, having attended the University of Rhode Island and later worked in journalism. Since relocating to Raleigh, she has worked as a marketing executive in the non-profit sector while also serving on the Raleigh City Council for 10 years.
