The forest is a very dark and lonesome place for a child, especially one who is as terrified and infuriated as Peggy. But what will she do about Tom? And who would even help her? As Tom lays dead, in the clutches of "The Man", as Reverend Albit sleeps off another hangover, Peggy makes a new friend, and an important ally.
