I’ve found certain types of gamers tend to play more at their own homes, or their friends’ places: narrative gamers, the #funhammer beer-and-pretzels crowd, tight-knit gaming groups of close friends, women and people of color that might not feel comfortable at shops, etc. I rarely hear any mention of the special circumstances and situations that this type of gaming gives rise to, so I set out to record a few episodes to explore the topic.

In this, the second part, I lay out a few things to think about before you host your next game night. Some of it’s obvious, but some is not. Take a listen and let me know what you think in the comments below.

This is a special episode, outside of our normal format. The topic of gender diversity and inclusion has come up again this past week, and I decided to bring a couple friends onto the show to talk about it. We also talk a lot about race since there are so many parallels.
