The Holy Spirit worked in the early church with such power that the believers shared everything they had with each other. Can you image what it would be like if your community lived like that?

When the time was right the Holy Spirit came to Jesus’ followers and gave them the courage and the words to share his love. That same Spirit is living and active in your life!

As the disciples watched Jesus ascend up into the sky, angels told them that Jesus would come back again. We are waiting for that day to come – with a sure and certain hope that when Jesus returns he will make all things new!

Jesus gave his followers a big job –  too big for them to do on their own. When Jesus sent them to share his love with the world, he promised to be with them always. The job and the promise are for us too!

If you could hit the undo button and erase something from you past, what would it be?  We can’t undo the sins of our past, but in Jesus we are forgiven and will follow him out of the grave into eternal life. God un-did death!

How far would you be willing to go in order to save someone you love? God answered that question for us on the cross.

The parable of the talents seems to be a story about performance-based approval, but a deeper look reveals another layer.

When Jesus was on trial for his life, the church leaders wouldn’t believe the truth. When Jesus was called to testify to the local political leader, Pilot didn’t understand the truth. With so many sources of information, where do we find truth?

Jesus called Peter to get out of the boat and come to him. Peter came, but it didn’t take long before he started sinking. Jesus kept Peter safe and he will do the same for you.

When a Seesaw is out of balance one person is stuck at the top and the other crashes to the ground. The same goes for our unbalanced sense of forgiveness: only through God’s forgiveness can we forgive others.
