Today you will meet Frank Cricchio, a retired Kodak Camera Craftsman, one of the worlds Top 40 Photographers who has survived a his third lifetime pandemic at 86 years of age as we discuss our vision of America, #Art and Democracy 100 years from now in light of #CoVid19; what do our communities and the future of #Art and #Photography look like moving forward?
In this episode, we set the scene for listeners to understand the historical creative influence Frank and Bea Cricchio have on young artist, Lex Lumiere and how their involvement in the #Art profit world and #Charity work influenced her to carry on their family legacy in the arts.
Mr. Frank Cricchio is widely known world wide as a dynamic leader and innovator in the photographic profession, and in 1998 became the first and only photographer to receive over one thousand merits from the Professional Photographers of America. Mr. Cricchio is positioned as one of the greatest teachers, photographers and authors on photographic techniques on the professional scene in America.
In addition to being called the “Master’s Master,” Frank E. Cricchio is not only an award winning artist but a respected author, lecturer, and consultant. Mrs. Bea Cricchio, Lex Lumiere's grandmother was the first minority female to be inducted into the PPA for her award winning painting skills before she was born. Together, they traveled the world sponsored by both Kodak and Fuji. Mr. Cricchio has received the Master of Photography Degree, The Fellow of Photography and the Honorary Fellow of Photography in July of 1995 from the American Society of Photographer, and Honorary Masters Degree from the Professional Photographers of America, Japan, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. The Texas House of Representatives honored Cricchio for significant contributions to photography. He is also featured as a Notable Celebrity in the Gulf Coast Museum. Cricchio lectured around the world and throughout the United States. For ten years, Cricchio was a technical consultant for FUJIFILM USA Inc., testing and teaching Professionals how to use FUJI product for maximum quality.
A Bachelor of Business Administration graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Mr. Cricchio now retired, owned and managed his studio in Texas for over 50 years. He has held presidency in the Texas Professional Photographers Association, Southwest Photographers Association, the Professional Photographers of America, and the American Society of Photography. He is a member of the prestigious organization, The Kodak CameraCraftsmen of America, limited to 40 photographers from around the world and has the United Nations Ambassador Award for Photographic Excellence.
