We found this interesting nugget in the New York Times, it sparked a conversation with us in the newsroom, so we thought why not ask you. Would you FOREGO VACATIONS to WORK LESS? Off the top or your head! You know the average workweek in North america is around 47 hours long, if you are lucky.... Last year, the average employee working full time hours received 17 days paid vacation. SO, in this scenario, would you rather work 50 hours a week .. and get five weeks vacay, or … 30 hours a week and get no paid time off???
I posed this question to the kids around the table the other night, but used school as the “work” bit. They were ALL in for 9am - 5pm school to have longer winter and summer breaks. So, what do you think on this??
