The government’s plan to legalize marijuana by this summer remains on track.
After a tense day of uncertainty over whether the Liberals could garner enough support from independent senators to defeat a Conservative effort to kill the bill, Bill C-45 passed second reading on Thursday night. It is now headed to committee, where it is expected to face scathing reviews by Conservative senators.

It’s been discovered that Christopher Wylie, the Canadian who blew the whistle on the massive breach, also worked for the Trudeau government in 2016.

More than a month after a teenager carrying an assault weapon killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Fla., the school is requiring students to carry clear backpacks and identification badges upon their return from spring break.Broward Schools superintendent Robert Runcie told parents in a two-page letter about the security changes. It said the backpacks will be given to students at no cost when they return to school on April 2.

U.S. stocks slumped on Thursday as President Donald Trump‘s move to impose tariffs on up to $60 billion of Chinese imports drove fears about the impact on the global economy, fueling the worst day in the US stock market in six weeks.

School board meetings are usually pretty boring...but there was a dramatic moment at a Texas school board meeting this week, as a man recounted being bullied in the 1970’s, accusing the school system’s superintendent of shoving his head in a urinal!

Trump seems to have fired right back at Joe Biden today, tweeting out - “Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!”
