Here in Vancouver, a program that gives daily doses of alcohol to people who have drinking problems is gaining worldwide attention….because it works.

While yesterday’s Federal Budget focused a LOT on gender equity…a recent study has found that while seems like a big deal for the millenial/adult population..Gen Z Canadians (those born between 1996-2012) have virtually no expectation that discrimination based on gender will be tolerated. The notion is quite simply odd to them and the concept of sexism and a glass ceiling is outdated.

Both the Federal NDP and Conservatives are floating around the idea of decriminalizing the possession and use of ALL drugs with the NDP moving towards becoming the first major Canadian political party to include it in their platform.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE FOR LISTENERS: Decriminalization is different from legalization - it would still be illegal to manufacture, sell and distribute these drugs, but the criminal penalties for the possession and use of drugs would be removed.

Well the likelihood of ET actually being able to phone home is getting closer to a real possibility. According to an announcement made today by Vodafone and Nokia the MOON will soon have cellphone service.

This story is quite possibly the most “don’t need to know” story we’ve ever done on this show.

We’ve either all been there or have seen it happen...you’re out to a dinner...and EVERYONE has their phones out. While 38% of adults believe it’s “generally” ok to use their phone while they’re at a restaurant a new study from the University of British Columbia has found that using your phone while at the dinner table leaves eaters feeling distracted and more bored.
