It is easy to proclaim love for the Lord without actually meaning it. The songs make it seem like loving the Lord is about just singing your favorite songs to Him. But loving the Lord is never about lip service.

Abraham loved the Lord. When God told him to sacrifice the son he loved, the one he had waited for for 100 years, he didn’t hesitate. He obeyed. Would you sacrifice what you love on the altar of obedience to God? Can you execute the lyrics of the song you’ve been singing to God? Would you sacrifice your time, premarital sex, weed etc because God says so? Remember that if God commands it, He can give more than you can possibly think or imagine.

The focus of soul winning is not to just bring people to church. It is to establish these people in God. Inviting people to church is just the beginning. Using the typology of a mother and her baby, Pastor Charles points out that giving birth to a baby is just the beginning. After childbirth, more responsibilities follow. Similarly, in soul winning, when you bring a person to church, that’s not the end of it. It is just the beginning. Otherwise, you are winning bodies and not souls. Visit these souls, check up on their spiritual life, “be on their case.” Be persistent in ensuring their souls are saved at last *because God will ask their souls from you. Remember that.*
