Believers choices mad decisions must be anchored in prayers and this is also true on matters politics. When we make decisions without consulting God, it's tantamount to rejecting God

When we substitute God with our politicians, we may find ourselves harassed by them and God may overlook. Not because He doesn't love us but because there is a curse when we trust men.

People form alliances in matters politics and business. Believers often find themselves part of these alliances. God values when people come together but believers ought to be guided by godly ideals. Do not join a political grouping whose values and ideals are opposed to God's word. We must seek to honour God in whatever alliances we form

Many are the times we are tempted to think that God has preference for any political candidate. God does not show favouritism on matters politics. All leaders good or bad are puppets that God can use to fulfilling his purpose. Our responsibility is to stand for a godly cause in whoever we wish to support but allow God to have his way.

God created man to exercise dominion over the rest of creation. We lost the dominion to Satan during the fall of man but Jesus coming reclaimed it back for us. One way we can influence our politics for God is through the love of Christ that enables us to treat all with love irrespective of their political inclinations

What role should believers play when it comes to politics? The beginning point is knowing that having submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, all our other choices should always be subject to him. Whatever choice we make, we should make sure we have God as our fallback and our guiding principle should always be, "not my will but let God's will be done".

Quite often God starts with us in the neighbourhood where He has placed us. To know God's will regarding the doors that He is opening, we must be willing to embrace his will in placing us where we are currently.

God will never place us far away from the doors that He has designed for us. It human to seek open doors far away but God opens door many times in our neighborhood.

Many are the times we pray unaware that God as already answered. We keep knocking on doors unaware that God has already gone ahead of us to open. Some doors just require practical pushing for them to open. We should pray but keep our expectations alive as we check what God is up to.
