We spoke to the co-creator, and executive producer Steve Lightfoot about his new showing on AppleTV+ called Shantaram. Lightfoot explained a little bit about the show and its journey. However, star Charlie Hunnam spoke about becoming Lin Ford, who he is, what the show's familiar themes are, and how long this journey has been to go from idea to script to screen. We also spoke to Antonia Desplat, Rachel Kamath, Fayssal Bazzi, Elektra Kilbey, and Alyy Khan about their characters and what this show means to them.

Synopsis:

Fugitive Lin Ford looks to get lost in chaotic 1980s Bombay; alone in an unfamiliar city, Lin struggles to avoid trouble but falls for an enigmatic woman and must choose between freedom and love and the complications that come with it.

Shantaram will be available to stream on AppleTV+ starting October 14, 2022.
