Charterhouse mulberries

(former) Roman catholic diocese of London, United Kingdom. The Charterhouse was originally a 14th century monastery, dissolved by Henry VIII, and then in 1611 purchased by Thomas Sutton, who established a hospital here. His wealth still provides for 40 residents in alms houses, provided for the poor. Within the courtyard grounds are five black mulberry trees.
