In an age of theological noise and doctrinal instability, we aim to anchor ourselves in the sufficient, authoritative, and self-attesting Word of God. Through thoughtful, rigorous, and charitable conversation with pastors, scholars, and laymen across Christendom, we seek to think carefully, speak truthfully, and grow together in wisdom.

Our hosts come from the Reformed tradition, with a majority attending confessional Presbyterian churches within the PCA, and one rooted in a Reformed Baptist congregation (though not strictly bound to the 1689 London Baptist Confession). While we are shaped by historic Reformed theology and deeply appreciative of the Westminster Standards, we approach each episode not as magisterial authorities, but as fellow students of Scripture seeking to be continually reformed according to the Word of God.

We also want to be candid about our presuppositions: we are not approaching theology from a neutral standpoint. We are Reformed Christians, and that framework inevitably shapes our instincts, questions, and conclusions. Yet we do not see this as a license for tribalism or caricature. Our aim is to engage other traditions with honesty and fairness—representing views in the strongest form we can, listening carefully, and disagreeing without distortion or contempt.

We affirm the central doctrines of the Christian faith and stand within the stream of historic Protestant orthodoxy. At the same time, we welcome guests from across the broader Christian tradition. Though we value every guest’s contribution, their views may not always reflect our own convictions. We engage in these discussions with conviction and charity, recognizing that theological clarity grows through careful listening, thoughtful disagreement, and humble learning.

We also recognize our limits. We cannot promise to anticipate every objection, cover every scholarly debate, or address every possible counterargument in each episode. Our conversations are an attempt to reason responsibly with the time and resources we have—leaning on Scripture, confessional standards, and trusted teachers—while remaining open to correction where we have misunderstood a view, missed an important detail, or failed to account for a relevant text or argument.

This podcast is not a substitute for the local church, nor an attempt to establish a new authority. Rather, it is a space for serious Christians to wrestle with Scripture, confessions, doctrine, and life—together—under the lordship of Christ and the final authority of God’s Word.
