I recorded this episode in December! It was supposed to go live right before Christmas, but I had some other thoughts on my mind at the time. Ignore all of the holiday related talk and just replace "Christmas" with "New year"! :)
I share two visualizations that helped me get through my divorce. One was imagining my divorce and everything I was going through as a small blip or thread in my tapestry of life. The other was imagining my life as an impenetrable fortress where I could decide who I let in and when.

Super vulnerable episode! This week I share a big part of my story that I wasn't sure I was going to share ever. But, I realized that it's something that is so much a part of my story that it had to be shared. And so, here it is.
I worked with three different attorneys when I got divorced and went through child custody proceedings. I learned so much through that process. I made a lot of mistakes in selecting attorneys to work with and they really set back my case in the long run. I'm sharing these four mistakes to avoid when selecting a divorce attorney. Listen in and find out what they are!

This week I talk with Kimber Dutton about perfectionism.
Kimber Dutton is the host of the new Just Be Your Bad Self Podcast. As a recovering people-pleaser, ex-mormon, and stay-at-home mother of 3, she highly values authenticity and believes you don’t have to be perfect to be worthy of love. Podcasting absolutely lights her up and she feels that there is no greater honor than to shine the spotlight on every day people who are showing up for the world by showing up for themselves.
Do you coast through the year only to end the year thinking that you didn't really accomplish much? ME TOO. Until I sat down and really thought about how far I've come this year, that is. This year has been huge in terms of personal growth and figuring out boundaries. Also, if you're a single mom, it's hard to find time to do anything besides homework, bedtime routines, and mealtimes. But honestly, let's add up the little things that we did this year and give ourselves a big pat on the back. We made it through the freaking year. We did it! I can't wait to see what 2022 brings. I'll see you in the new year!
Just a little Christmas message from me to you! Have a great holiday. And a Merry Christmas!
