Today on the podcast I am talking to James Kerwin who is a British explorer living in Georgia. We talked about what is it like to go full time photographer, how was it to emigrate to Georgia (country) and we also explore some obscure facts about his new country of residence including Joseph Stalin's museum but mostly we focused on urbex side and famous abandoned sanatoriums. Also James mentioned exploring car cave in Wales and he shared few stories including the one and only about renting a car and driving in Italy and camping overnight in abandoned locations. This is part 1. Famagusta Special Part 3 - Interview with British explorer Sam Imba who was inspired by the stories on the podcast and the events in Cyprus and he decided to hop on the plane and make a weekend escape deep down into the ghost town of Famagusta. Sam describes in details his whole journey to Cyprus, trying numerous checkpoints to gain access to the town and eventually exploring it. On today's episode - second one on the Famagusta Special - I welcome an artist and a documentary maker Vasia Markides (Hidden in the Sand 2008) who is a Cypriot and her mother lived in Famagusta at the time of the war. Vasia shares details of her ambitious project of turning the ghost town into Eco-City. Vasia talked about her passion for the abandoned city and she shares stories of the former residents. On today's episode we are joined by Australian urban explorer Doug (or Doug the Drain Drongo) who is one of the founders of the legendary Cave Clan. Doug shares many clan stories mixed with some personal tales too. Interview with a Danish legendary explorer Jan Elhøj. Jan has been exploring abandoned world for years and he has travelled across the globe finding the most unique urbex locations out there. He is the first person who went to some of the current "go to" places like the power plant and train graveyard in Hungary. We exchanged stories and Jan shared plenty of his. Buran (obviously) was mentioned too.
