Ru: На берегу озера Байкал царила тишина.
En: On the shore of ozera Baikal, silence reigned.

Ru: В это лето сюда пришли трое людей: Николай, Валентина и Сергей.
En: This summer, three people came here: Nikolai, Valentina, and Sergei.

Ru: Их цель – редкий цветок: байкальский голубой мак.
En: Their goal was a rare flower: the Baikal blue poppy.

Ru: Николаю, ботанику, нужно было сделать фотографии цветка для статьи.
En: Nikolai, a botanist, needed to take photographs of the flower for an article.

Ru: Валентина искала мир с ним, своим старым другом.
En: Valentina was seeking peace with him, her old friend.

Ru: Сергей, местный проводник, верил в легенды о цветке.
En: Sergei, a local guide, believed in the legends about the flower.

Ru: Говорили, что он приносит удачу и связь с духовным миром.
