Laura grew up with Christian household. Her mother was an Evangelist from Indonesia and her grandfather founded and was the Pastor of a church in Indonesia . She grew up in Finland and moved to the US in 2008. Since a young age she had a heart for California and the lifestyle it portrayed in movies. After high school she finally moved out to Orange County to pursue a modeling career. She was alone in a new city and with Covid restrictions she was even more isolated. She decided to dedicate her time a part from school to meet the modeling measurement threshold. This meant a very restricted diet and intense exercise regiment to get attention.

 In this first part of a two part episode, Laura shares her life trying to become a young model, being put in a very dangerous situation, calling out to God and finding a church home. She was still pursuing modeling, but deep down had a bad feeling about this career path.
