In this episode of Chasing Happiness, Ryan is joined by Ogen Pogossian.
From a young age, Ogen Pogossian was always aware of the way she looked. She was constantly surrounded by people who made her believe that her worth as a person was determined by the size of her body.
So, Ogen started to explore other areas of her life. She found a passion for health and nutrition and began learning as much as she could about the topics. This became her outlet; it was something that made her feel good about herself. Ogen started to see herself in a different light, and she realized that her worth wasn't based on her size after all.
We all know that epic failures can be really tough to overcome. They knock us down, making us feel like we're not good enough and that we'll never succeed.
It's during these tough times that it's easy to give up. To feel like we're not worth the effort and that it's time to move on.
But what if there was another way? What if we could take all that energy we're expending on feeling sorry for ourselves and use it to pivot? To find a new path forward, even when things seem their darkest?
Pivoting is not easy. It requires courage and strength, both of which are in short supply when we're feeling down. But it's often the only way to move forward.
Take a look at your biggest failure. What did you learn from it? How can you use that knowledge to create something new and better? These are tough questions, but they're worth asking.
