The young couple of lovers runs through the parking lot, holding hands,
chasing each other, their smiles carried by the wind
Their laughter, loud, filling the air freely.
The young couple of lovers draws everyone's attention.
Some look with a quiet memory, "we once were like that"
Others with a soft longing, "I wish we still were"
The young couple of lovers turns around, still holding hands, and begins to skip:
carefree, unguarded, unashamed.
And I keep looking at them…
until I realize this is how heaven looks at us.
Heaven looks at us the way we look at the young couple of lovers.
Watching.
Smiling.
Longing for us to come closer.
To chase Him.
To laugh with Him.
To enjoy Him without hesitation.
What if today we became like the young couple of lovers?
What if today we chased our purpose,
our dreams, our next season,
with that same authenticity,
that same purity,
that same joy?
The young couple of lovers doesn’t hold back.
The young couple of lovers doesn’t calculate.
The young couple of lovers simply runs.
So maybe today…we run too!
