In this week's episode, we speak with Charlie Bradley Ross, founder and director of Offset Warehouse and  learn more about sustainable fashion. Through her education and  design career, Charlie was determined to work only with ethically sourced raw materials and production, but found incorporating sustainable textiles and eco-friendly dyes into her collections a real challenge... so she decided to solve for it! All of the products sold on Offset Warehouse either benefit the people who make them, the people who handle them (including us!) or the planet. Charlie also founded The Sustainable Fashion Collective, an online community sharing strategies for developing ethical fashion and growing sustainable businesses responsibly. 

In this episode, we speak with Erin Fay,  Board President of Cincinnati Reuse and Recycling Hub and learn how such hubs work. Erin has been actively living a low waste lifestyle for more than a decade and is actively involved in many different recycling and waste reduction programs.  One of her favorite  quotes speaks to her passion for educating others about living plastic free and low waste in order to create a healthier environment for all of us. "We don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly, we need millions of people doing it imperfectly."

Weldon Wade is an avid ocean advocate, diver, and community activist. As a dedicated member of the Bermuda diving community with over a decade of experience exploring the thriving and abundant Bermudian waters, Weldon is on a mission to bring awareness to the importance of protecting our oceans on a global scale.  In this episode we learn about Weldon''s journey into activism and his exciting adventures along the way including lionfish spearing and photographing sunken treasures.

Stephanie Lentz is the founder of Scoop Marketplace, a zero-waste grocery store that originated in Seattle with a mission to normalize zero-waste grocery shopping and teach people how to improve the quality of their lives while learning to walk more gently on the planet. Prashant Lingam and Aruna Lingam are social entrepreneurs from Hyderabad, India, and co-founders of Bamboo House India. Their current social initiative centers around developing sustainable low-cost shelter solutions with plastic waste and providing fair price and enhanced livelihood opportunities to waste-picker communities. 

Bamboo House India aims to utilize bamboo as an economic driver for providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to rural and tribal communities at the base of the economic pyramid and uses bamboo as an eco-friendly substitute to wood, steel, iron & plastic. 

In this episode, we learn how their search for an eco-friendly sofa-set for their home took them to a village and Tripura and thus began their journey for starting a business to build bamboo and plastic homes.

Danielle Riley is the owner of Riley's General Store, a zero-waste refill business bringing zero-waste solutions to greater Los Angeles.

Danielle grew up in the drought-prone San Gabriel Valley Foothills making her conscious of her environmental impact early on. A designer by trade, she weaves her creative background to her store’s vision of affordability and accessibility. 

In this episode, we also hear how as a member of her city's Public Services Commission, Danielle learned more about the recycling and composting initiatives in her community and how that has affected her consumption choices. 

Kirsty Magson is a marine biologist and conservationist living and working on the island of Koh Tao, Thailand. Hailing from the UK, Kirsty moved to Thailand 6 years ago in pursuit of an internship, and she never left! She specializes in sea turtles and runs a head-starting program where she and her interns raise hatchlings until they stand a greater chance of survival in the world.
