So we went down another rabbit hole tonight and got off topic. But we seem to be doing that lately.

This week we kept the drink simple-Sam Adams Summer Ale

It's been an odd week.

We went to one of our favorite wineries that happens to be rather haunted and did an impromptu investigation. I had the tool bag with me so why not?

Then a few of us went to a Witches Table meet up at a local establishment in RVA. Very welcoming, Henry learned a few things. His mind is opening up to all sorts of things. Imagine.

Trying to figure out what exactly the Bell Witch of Tennessee is. Ghost? Poltergiest? Entity? Disembodied spirit? It fits all but at the same time none. It's an interesting case. Will someone solve the mystery one day? Probably not in our lifetime.

Cocktail: Witches panties-melon liqueur, raspberry vodka, light cream.

Churches. They can be haunted also. New Orleans has one or 2, and so does Stafford, VA. We'll be talking about one in NOLA and on in VA. Both are haunted by women.

Bevereage: Mountain Laurel red table wine from Chateau Morrisette. It's sweet. I may make a slushy with the bottle I found in the wine rack when it warms up.

Hotel Cecil-where they check in but don't always check out. This hotel has a rather dark past-lots of death by suicide, natural causes or murder. The infamous serial killer Richard Ramirez, the Night Stalker, stayed there for a bit while on his killing spree. And there's the unsolved case of Elisa Lam. Haunted? of course

Cocktail: The Eclipse-vodka, vanilla creamer, chocolate liqueur, chocolate syrup. It's a dessert in a glass.

We decided to return to this small cemetery. The spirits didn't want to come out to play. Can't make them perform on command.

Beverage was a blood orange cider that I picked up at Trader Joe's. I'll buy it again. We don't always do cocktails, the bartender occasionally needs a break.

This is one of my favorite musicals and Ryan returns to tell us the backstory.

The cocktail is the Christine, named after the heroine. It's vodka, blue curacao, cranberry juice, cherry juice. Think I may have made it a bit strong :)
