Chasing the Whimsy

In this heartwarming holiday episode, host Ben explores the remarkable growth and impact of a community program dedicated to supporting families in need. Ben is joined by Anat, who shares the personal motivations behind their involvement and reflects on the importance of uplifting teachers, families, and the broader community during the holiday season.

Together, they highlight the program’s significant expansion this year: 73 families signed up—18 more than last year—including 139 children, an increase of 19. The episode celebrates the generosity of the 31 sponsors who stepped forward, from local families and school staff to small businesses and community organizations. Some sponsors purchased and wrapped gifts for specific children, while others contributed through monetary donations, ensuring every family received meaningful support.

Ben and Anat also recognize the incredible businesses and groups that made this year’s effort possible, including Elements Massage (Norterra), Moore Auto Group, Lookout Mountain Veterinary Clinic, Chasing the Whimsy Podcast, CCV Church (Peoria), Nathalie & Co., Temple Kol Ami, Empire Landscape & Maintenance, and CPR Electric. A special shoutout goes to Inspiration Mountain School, where each grade level sponsored an entire family.

This episode is a celebration of collective kindness and a reminder of the powerful impact a community can make when it comes together with intention and heart.
