Decluttering doesn't just involve things, it can include people, emotions or situations as well. When we are overwhelmed by things, our energy scatters. Possession of too many items can drain you. You're always tired from having to maintain the upkeep. It becomes a force of energy because more than likely you have to schedule time to upkeep these possessions and sometimes you have to make yourself do it even if you're tired. Anything that truly belongs in our presence will flow with our energy and feel forced. Examine why you keep things around that force their upkeep. This can be friendships, careers, products, etc. If you dread the interaction, that's usually a telltale sign that it is not in flow with who you are presently or that it's taking too much of your energy and causing you to neglect yourself.
