Well I thought I'd try a different style of podcast and well to be honest I enjoyed it, so I think this is what we'll do for a while.

You may have noticed over the past few weeks there wasn't quite the same energy in my podcasts or I wasn't as engaged with the topics as usual, particularly in any solo episodes I've done.

To be honest I was once again suffering from doing too much, I wanted to discuss how this happened and what I'm doing to change it in the hope that it might help anyone else out there.

Every year around Easter coaches with either disordered eating or insecurities around money (or both) will bombard social media with their summer body challenges or programmes without thinking about the impact they have beyond themselves.

Steven Raynor is a Scottish crossfitter who in the last appearance on the podcast slagged off hyrox which annoyed a number of people. He decided to put his money where his mouth is and compete and train for the mixed doubles in Glasgow.

Joe Rogan is one of many big names who believes fat shaming actually works which couldn’t be further from the truth. 

He is not the only one with the likes of Piers Morgan and Katie Hopkins also believing that calling people fat and making them feel terrible about their weight actually helps people lose weight. 

This is one of the dumbest concepts society has came up with so far and there is some ridiculous opinions out there on it. 

As a personal trainer who actually works 1-1 with people helping them lose weight and gain more confidence with themselves and their body - this is my opinion on my why these ideas are extremely dumb and harmful.
