Manchmal muss man seine Gedanken auch aussprechen, wenn sie dumm sind – gerade in Zeiten von Corona und der selbstgewählten häuslichen Quarantäne. Pia und Flo besprechen in der Besprechung zur letzten Folge der ersten Staffel von Star Trek: Picard, dass es schon leichter ist jemanden das Auge als den Anus rauszureißen (Stichwort: Rektalscan!) und warum Borg keinen Plural hat. Daneben geht es natürlich aber auch um das letzte Kapitel der Heldenreise unseres Lieblingscaptains und ein wenig um die Auflösungen der großen Rätsel der ersten Staffel. Aber nur ein wenig, denn in der nächsten Folge wollen die beiden Quarantäne-Opfer nochmal ausführlich über die Handlungsstränge und die Auflösungen sprechen. Ganz allgemein gibt’s aber für das Finale – und insbesondere den vierten Akt von beiden Podcastenden ein eindeutiges Chapeau aus dem Chateau für Chabon.

Was für eine Folge! Nicht nur die neue von Star Trek: Picard (1×07: Nepenthe), sondern auch unser Mammut-Projekt hat einen neuen Längenrekord eingefahren. Ihr habt jetzt die einmalige Möglichkeit zu hören, wie Flo in einer Folge mehrmals seine Meinung ändert (findet er das Troiriker’sche Paradies nun gut oder nicht?!) und warum Pia Flo ab jetzt Papa nennt. Aber wo sich beide einig sind: Eine (!) Pizza an einem (!) Tag für fünf Leute – das ist eindeutig unrealistisch und NICHT UNSER STAR TREK. Das liegt ganz alleine an diese Murksman-Chabon-Trek-Dreck für Klatschvieh und tumbe Zuschauer:innen!
Aber ganz unironisch: Nepenthe ist eine fantastische Pause auf der Heldenreise und eine großartige Folge mit tollen Charakter-Momenten, in denen wir unseren neuen alten Jean-Luc wieder so erleben können, wie wir ihn erinnern.

Was für eine Folge für unseren kleinen Star Trek Podcast! Maja Vrvilo hat optisch viel mehr aus Picard rausgeholt, als wir im Château nicht in unseren kühnsten… Tan zhekran gedacht hätten! Und was Nick Zayas aus dem Material gemacht hast, ist nicht nur eine fantastische Arbeit für Star-Trek sondern muss sich hinter anderen Serien nicht verstecken. Aber einen kleinen Vorteil hatte Nick: Die Handlung nimmt nun richtig Fahrt auf, die ersten Geheimnisse werden gelüftet und die Serie scheint nun auf dem soliden Fundament der vorherigen Episoden zu sich selbst gefunden zu haben. Das gibt ein Chapeau aus dem Château!

Auf dem Weg nach Freecloud entscheidet sich Picard zum Missfallen von Raffi, einen Umweg über den Umsiedlungs-Planeten Vashti zu machen, um sich bei Kampf-Nonnen Unterstützung für seine Suche nach Bruce Maddox und Dahjs Schwester zu holen. Unterwegs trifft er überraschend auf eine alte Bekannte.
Die Situation auf dem Planeten Vashti erinnert an die Ba’ku, aus dem Film „Insurrection/Der Aufstand“, den wir im Château Picard in der Folge „Moral ist nicht dehnbar“ besprochen haben.
