One thousand three hundred and eighty-six (1,386) new cases of coronavirus infection (Covid-19) and 822 recoveries have been recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, announced Monday the ministry of Health.
This brings to 73,780 the number of infections since the first case was reported in the Kingdom on March 2, and to 56,096 the number of fully recovered people, i.e. a recovery rate of 76%, the ministry said in its daily report.
The number of deaths rises to 1,394, with 33 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, according to the same source. The case fatality rate is 1.9%.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (13), Darâa-Tafilalet (05), Marrakech-Safi (5), Fez-Meknès (3), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (03), Souss-Massa (02) and Beni Mellal-Khénifra (02).
The new cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (560, including 416 in Casablanca), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (268), Darâa-Tafilalet (178), Marrakech-Safi (131), Fez-Meknes (71), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (66), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (52), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (44) and the eastern region (16).
The number of excluded cases stands at 2,018,511, after 20,852 new cases turned out to be negative.
The active cases reached 16,290, with a prevalence of 44.9/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 202, including 40 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 203.2/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 3.8/100,000 inhabitants.
