My daughter is leaving the nest in a few weeks. She is moving to Thailand, and I won’t see her for as long as a year and she will no longer be living at home. Letting go and letting this process flow has seemingly come naturally... but in truth I just don’t think it has hit me. This is my current reality. Have a listen.

I was not born happy or lucky, but I do choose to maintain a positive outlook on life. I do constant work on myself to live optimally. It is neither my mission nor my place to tell people what to do, but this is what helps me live a more fulfilled life. Before you listen, please understand that I am not an expert on depression, anxiety or mental illness. I by no means understand the medications required to treat these conditions, and am not at all condoning the misuse or denial of any prescribed medications. I understand the enormity of depression and anxiety as I’ve seen it first-hand in my loved ones. I simply want to share my personal experience.

This podcast came out of the anger and frustration that was born from two things that happened this weekend. Boy on girl crime. Maybe these are isolated incidents, but are we raising boys to be the compassionate men that they need to be? Would love to hear your feedback... xx
