God's family is not defined by outward rites or religious résumés; it is marked by faith. Abraham was declared righteous before he ever received the covenant sign, and his true children — Jew and Gentile alike — are known by that same believing trust.

Romans chapter 4, verses 9 through 12 brings that idea into sharp focus. In a sermon titled, "Family Resemblance," Pastor Brian shows us why faith, not ritual, is the mark of Abraham's family.

God does not justify us as payment for what we have accomplished; He credits righteousness to the ungodly who trust Him. Like Abraham and David, we discover the blessed freedom of receiving by faith what we could never earn through works.

Romans chapter 4, verses 1 through 8 brings that question into sharp focus. In a sermon titled,  “Unearned,” Pastor Brian shows us why righteousness is not a reward for the deserving, but a gift received by faith.

Because salvation is God's gift from beginning to end, all human boasting is excluded. Jew and Gentile alike are justified in the same way, through faith alone in Christ alone. Far from overthrowing God's law, faith establishes it by receiving the righteousness the law itself could never produce.

This week, Pastor Brian considers one of the great pillars of the Protestant Reformation  with a sermon entitled, Sola Fidé from Romans chapter 3, verses 27 through 31.

The ground is level at the cross. Every human distinction — moral, religious, ethnic, cultural — collapses before the one verdict that matters: all have sinned, and all who believe receive the same righteousness through the same Redeemer. At the place where God's justice and mercy meet, there is no distinction.

This week, Pastor Brian continues preaching through the Book of Romans with a sermon entitled, Siné Discriminé from Romans chapter 3, verses 21 through 26

After surveying the entire human race, Paul delivers a universal verdict: no one is righteous, and no one stands innocent before God. The law was never given to provide a defense, but to expose guilt and silence every excuse. Before the perfect Judge, every mouth is stopped and the whole world stands accountable.

With that in mind, let’s turn our attention to Pastor Brian for this week’s sermon entitled, “Silentium” from Romans chapter 3, verses 9 through 20.

God's covenant faithfulness does not rise and fall with the faithfulness of His people. Human unbelief cannot overturn His promises, nor can human sin be twisted into an argument against His justice. The God who gave His word remains true, even when every other voice proves false.

This week, Pastor Brian’s series through Romans moves into Chapter 3 with a sermon entitled, “Fidelis” from Romans chapter 3, verses  1 through 8.

Romans 2 ends with a sobering reminder: it’s possible to wear the appearance of faith while remaining untouched by the transformation faith was meant to produce. Ritual, knowledge, and religious identity cannot replace an obedient heart. What God has always desired is not outward performance, but inward renewal through the Spirit.

This week, Pastor Brian concludes chapter 2 of the book of Romans with a message entitled, “PRETENSE” from chapter 2, verses 17-29.

No one will stand before God unaware, because the knowledge of right and wrong has been written on the human conscience. God’s judgment is perfectly measured to what each person has been given, and on the final day, the strongest witness against us may be the voice within us. We are quick to condemn the sins of others while ignoring the same guilt in ourselves. God’s patience is not approval, but an invitation to repent before judgment comes. No one stands above the standard, and no one sits beside the Judge.

Humanity was created to worship God, but when people persistently exchange the Creator for created things, God eventually gives them over to the path they have chosen. In Romans 1, the Apostle Paul reveals a terrifying form of judgment: not merely punishment from heaven, but the removal of divine restraint. As desires become disordered and truth is suppressed, society begins to unravel from the inside out. Yet even in this dark passage, the gospel shines brightly, because the same God who gives sinners over is also the God who rescues sinners through Christ.
